Babies: A perfect gift from the Father

How I love my baby!!!  We are so blessed with such a good boy in our lives.  Ephraim is such a joy in my life.  These tender moments make it all worth it.  He is our seventh child.  Often times I think about the "what if" we had stopped having children after one, two, or even the sixth.  No little baby Ephraim to look at, smile, and even laugh with. What precious moments to share with this little one.  To sing to and play with, to talk with, even though he won't talk back.  But he just smiles the whole time, knowing that I am the one who feeds him, comforts him, and loves him.  I would never, ever do anything to hurt him only want to protect him.   This is like the love of the Father.  Oh how much He comforts us and loves us.  He feeds us and protects us.  Daily!!! He heals all our infirmities (Ps 103).  He comforts us like a mother comforts her wee one.  (Is 66).  He wants to give everything we desire.  He is our Father.   I love Ephraim so much. But just think, the love...

Saturated in The Word

The word of God so holy, so pure, so good.  Truth!!  So needed in the lives of mothers.  Being saturated in the Word takes place constantly.  To survive motherhood we need the Holy Spirit's guidance daily.  So how, can we as mothers saturate ourselves with God's word?  We are very busy women, especially if you have a large family.  Time???  Time for God's word?  Well, uhhh, yeah I pray.  "Lord, help me!!! and change these kids, Lord!!  Lord, are you listening.  I am sacrificing daily to raise Godly children for your kingdom!!  Hello, God are you there."  Sounds oh so familiar.  I've been there done that.  This is why I can talk about it.  My daily time with God had been much out of desperation so I could survive this motherhood thing that he has called me into.  Alot of "help me's" were cried out!!!    Alot of complaining and crying out!!!  David cried out. Yes, but he also declared who God was in his life.    Declarations, confessions, and th...

My Loud little Voice of Freedom

Here are my two little boys.  Galen (left) the calm and cool 3 year old and Kole Freedom (right) the boisterous and loud 2 year old.  Boy oh boy!!! Kole can scream.  It has been awhile since I had a very active two year old in the house.  I had it easy with Shiloh and Galen, but look out here comes Kole.    I know that he will be used mightily for the Kingdom of God.  He will be a voice crying out in the wilderness just like John the Baptist.  Kole's name actually comes from the Hebrew word which means "voice"  spelled Qol.  His voice or rather scream is like a trumpet.  When I was pregnant with my little Kole, the Lord told me he was going to light up a room and be a loud and happy child.  We didn't have a name for him until 1 week before his birth.   Donnie gave him his name.  God revealed the name to Donnie one week prior to his birth and then he told me after the midwives left my home what his name was going to be.  Wow!!! God was right.  Kole is definitely a ...

Thanking the Lord!!!!

It has been a awhile since I've shared my heart.  I have been quite busy being a wife and mommy of seven beautiful children.  They are so much fun.  I thank the Lord each and every day for the blessings in my life.   There are days that I awake and don't feel like tackling the day.  My day starts so early in the morning.  It starts right in my mind.  I can go ahead and let it bring me down or take it to the Lord by thanking him, out loud.  It is so important that we thank Him out loud so we can hear our own voice.  It is a confession we are making and then we realize---Hey, life is not so bad after all.  My life is actually soooo wonderful!!! It couldn't be better.   What do I thank the Lord for?   1.  My life and my Hope in Him.  I thank Him for His Son Jesus and how he shed His blood for me so I can live a life of fullness and redemption.  Galatians 3:13 says we were Redeemed from the curse of the law so that the blessings of Abraham could come upon us and we have the p...

The New Cadet Airman

Yesterday, Justin received his promotion to Cadet Airman.   He joined Civil Air Patrol an Air Force auxillary program.  He is really enjoying the whole program.  Here, Donnie and I are pinning him.  I must add that the pin I placed was on upside down.  He made sure he told me that. Ha ha ha.   Here is his entire squadron.  This is a great group of kids.  Justin is kneeling, front right.  We are so pleased with him.  Blessings PS ....  We just got a new computer so I will be posting more often, hopefully.

Here is what's on my mind

Wow, it has been awhile since I have written anything in this blog. Just a quick update before I go on with this post. Gave birth to a beautiful, gorgeous little baby boy named Ephraim Tobias. God is so good. The birth went very well and I was blessed through the whole experience. So here I am, the baby is now 3 months old and we just celebrated Christmas. Time seems to just fly these days. I am so excited about what the Lord is going to do this year. My prayer is for my family and I to grow so ever more with the Lord. To know Him like we have never known Him before. To walk in His ways and to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE as He loves us. Lately I have felt like I have been on edge. I have felt like "life's" pressures our knocking on my door. Pressures of schooling, cleaning, and you name it. But why? I ask. Why do I let these things bother me oh so much. There is no reason for it. Why do I get so frustrated when my kids are not understanding what I am teaching or why t...
