A fun day!

Yesterday was such a fun day.
We went on over to the museum of Florida natural history.
We haven't been in months maybe even a year.

This museum is about 15 minutes from home and free of charge.
I have no idea WHY we haven't enjoyed it much more?

Donnie joined us and we made a family date out of it.
The kids all had fun searching for something to "learn" about.

Daddy doing what he does best....TEACHING

Moriah telling the boys what exactly they were looking at

Shiloh my scientist

Cautiously entering the dark cave
Curious Kole
lots to see
Lots to learn
Playtime in the playroom
Kole and I had a blast playing this giant matching game
Today I received my comforters from my sweet friend.
She gave me three comforters,
lots and lots of towels,
sheets,
a nice lamp (on the right),
and
the decorative planter (it sits to the left of my bed).

Here is one of the sets I received.
Ok....Ok...
so I am NOT a person who has any decorative flair.
I just threw everything together...
I know...I know...
I need help.
ha ha.

PS...

My heart is a bit heavy today.
We are still not sure what our living arrangements for next month will be.
Please pray that I will have peace in my heart to be content in whatever may take place.

But you know what???
God continues to bless in amazing ways.

Yesterday...
Someone blessed us with a few hundred dollars

Today...
We received a nice letter from Donnie's grandma with $150

Wow--wee!!
I am humbled and thank God for His love towards me and my family.
He is truly an amazing Father! :)

I see all of this as supernatural!!

I love field trips and this one looks like fun!

So I've been catching up with your blog. I didn't see a post regarding the results of your kid's Color Guard competition. You'll have to let me know! I've been wondering what happened with that. Did they have a good time in Oregon?

Love your new bed. I'm so sorry to hear things are incredibly tight for you guys. Praying God will give you some relief soon. It is so neat to hear of the way God is blessing you guys in the big and little things.

Blessings,
Jackie

That's my prayer too that I may be content and faithful in whatever God brings my way. If you have that attitude it will go well for you no matte where you live sweet friend!
I loved your fun day and especially the pic with the whole row of your own kids. Don't you just love days like that. I could do that every day!!:)
What a fun day!

Your bed looks lovely! I think you did a great job!

The last part reminded me of something...when we were in the thick of our trial and I would start getting full of worry and anxiety, I would remember that song by Mercy Me (it's actually a scripture in Revelation) "Hold Fast Help is on the way..." God knows! Still praying!

love and hugs,
CB

I love the comforter and think you did a great job putting it all together! The color of the comforter against the headboard is gorgeous!

Praying for you, that your heart would be content and at peace.
That place looks like fun! Your kiddos are so cute, Girl!

And, yep, once again, it is proven we are sisters, because I have no decorative flair either, lol. But, the comforter and lamps are really pretty! So, I am so impressed!

I am lifting you up in prayer, Mama, as you trust the Lord to show you what he has for all of you regarding the living arrangements! He is constantly showing himself faithful, isn't he?

LOVE,
Veronica

What Makes us Better Mothers? How do we View others?

What makes us better mothers? Do you homeschool or send your kids to school? Do you cloth diaper, use disposables or both? Do you breastfeed, bottle feed or both? Do you home birth, hospital birth or done both? Do you natural birth, use epidurals, or done both? Do you cook with whole foods or open up a box of Kraft Mac and Cheese? Do you home church or are a member of mega church? Do you wear a head covering, long skirts or have short hair and wear trendy clothes? Do you do attachment parenting or let your babies cry to sleep? Do you have 2 children or 20? Do you use birth control or not? Do you live on your own land/farm or do you live in a small apartment? Do you work or stay home with the kids? Do you immunize or never dare to inject your child? I am going to be very transparent and open with you all. I don't know if it's just hormones but what I have swimming in my heart and mind lately needs to come out. So this is the case for my posting this side of me. I know we can ...

My heart is sad...

Last night a local family in our small town lost 5 of their children to a house fire.  This was just down the road from where we are currently living.  My heart totally aches for this family.  I don't know much about them other than what I have heard from the new reports.  I am assuming she was a single mother because there was no mention of a father in the home.  I think it said she was staying with her mother (the children's grandmother) and her younger sister (the children's aunt--a 21 yr. old) My husband was driving home from work late last night when he saw police cars speeding by.  All he could do was pray not knowing there was a family being lost to a fire that very moment.   We didn't find out what happened until this morning.  From what I read was that they think the space heater caused the fire.  The home was an older wood-framed house probably without central heating.  The mothe...

A Very Quick Update on the Move

Hey All... Here's a quick update on what's been going on since my last post.  Well....we are moved in for the most part.  I still need to go back to the old house and clean, clean, clean.   Lots of cleaning... I wish I had the pictures to show you how much of a mess we all made while living there for 4 years.   Those pictures will have to wait for another post. I was also thinkin'... Boy how much STUFF do 10 people need.   I don't see myself as a clutter-bug...pack rat... I am always ridding my house of stuff.... Actually, to much stuff makes me hyper-ventilate.  I've been having a bit of moving anxiety lately.   I get these waves of panic.  Thank God they don't last long.   Oh...and please don't worry about me... I am not depressed or having panic attacks.  :) but you can pray though I think it's a mixture of the normal moving blues mixed with hormones of an almost 40 year old.   Gosh... c...
