What's New

Quick post to update you on what is going on in my joyful life.

Wow, it seems like I really have been busy here at home that I haven't taken the time to come on and post updates or little stories or Godly inspirations.

So here is the short story of the past few months.  I am about 30 weeks along in this pregnancy.  Honestly, I have good and bad days.  I know they should always be good, but who is perfect anyway.  Thank you Jesus that you give me your amazing Grace to be able to raise my many children and love my husband.  I am feeling pretty good for the most part.  I do have aches and pains at night and turning from side to side is a bit painful in my joints.  It is getting harder to bend down and pick things up, so the kids are stepping up to picking up those things I can't.

We are pregnant with a GIRL this time. Yay!!!  We been wanting a girl the last two pregnancies.  God has blessed us with another daughter.  We are so looking forward to meeting her and seeing her little face.  She is due around Valentine's day.  I hope I do have her on Valentines.

I do need to come back and start posting some more.  So we'll see.  I added a playlist for you enjoyment.

Blessings

She is Here!! Welcome Ana Karisa!!

Just a quick update to let you know we had the baby!!  Yay!!!! :D Here name:  Ana Karisa (pronounced  A-nah  Ka-ree-sah  ) Born: January 30 at 9:15 PM Weight:  7'2 oz  19 inches  Beautiful little girl.   Here are some pictures and when I start feeling normal and not so much like a milk cow, then I will post the details of what took place on Delivery day. ( Ana about 5 minutes old) (Here she after her check up--about 30 minutes old)   (Coming home!!  1 1/2 days old) We came home yesterday late afternoon, and I am lacking much sleep.  I really haven't slept since last Saturday.   She is nursing a lot right now to bring down my milk.  I've been nursing around the clock.  Almost every hour.  I am doing this because she has been hungry and I need my milk to come in as soon as possible.  I am showing signs today of it coming in.  She is not so fussy and more content.   It is so easy to forget about those newborn days.  It doesn't matter how many babies you have had in the pas...

What Makes us Better Mothers? How do we View others?

What makes us better mothers? Do you homeschool or send your kids to school? Do you cloth diaper, use disposables or both? Do you breastfeed, bottle feed or both? Do you home birth, hospital birth or done both? Do you natural birth, use epidurals, or done both? Do you cook with whole foods or open up a box of Kraft Mac and Cheese? Do you home church or are a member of mega church? Do you wear a head covering, long skirts or have short hair and wear trendy clothes? Do you do attachment parenting or let your babies cry to sleep? Do you have 2 children or 20? Do you use birth control or not? Do you live on your own land/farm or do you live in a small apartment? Do you work or stay home with the kids? Do you immunize or never dare to inject your child? I am going to be very transparent and open with you all. I don't know if it's just hormones but what I have swimming in my heart and mind lately needs to come out. So this is the case for my posting this side of me. I know we can ...

A day away....

Life had become so overwhelming for me when Donnie was away with the older two  children.  It seemed we hardly ever had time to really talk about life anymore I started to feel disconnected with him I really don't like this feeling I am not a surface type of person and when "problems" in life begin to brew..... look out!!   I will do what it takes to make things better.... Even if we have to make an emergency get-a-way... I wanted just one day... one whole day alone with him. Sooooo.... Donnie asked his sweet mom to watch the children for us while we took a little drive on over to the beach... ahhhhhh I think the beach has become one of my favorite places to be.... There is something that takes place deep in my heart when I come face to face with the massive ocean and the waves.... The breeze blows and there I find some comfort and peace... We had such a great time reflecting and revamping some of our vision, plans, and goals for...
